VGP101 - Slim Sunglasses Case with 2 Fixing Modes & Magnetic Strap

I have been carrying this for a few weeks in place of the bulky clamshell case my glasses came with, which lived permanently in a bag because it never fit anywhere else.The slim profile is the whole point and it works. This slides into a jacket pocket, a back pocket, or the front slot of a bag without creating a brick-shaped bulge. That is the difference between a case I actually carry and a case I leave at home, and leaving it at home is how glasses get scratched. On that basis alone it has already earned its place.The leather feels good in hand. Soft, pliable, with clean edges and even stitching, and no chemical smell out of the box. The Tangerine Twist color is genuinely nice and reads more like a warm burnt orange in person than the brighter tone the listing photos suggest. Worth knowing if you were expecting neon.The two fixed modes are more useful than the listing makes them sound. Being able to secure it at two different tightness points means the case actually holds my thinner reading glasses snugly instead of letting them rattle around, and still closes over my chunkier sunglasses. That adjustability is doing real work here, and it is why the fit range is as wide as it is.On fit: my standard acetate frames and my medium sunglasses both go in without forcing. Larger wraparound sports frames and oversized designer sunglasses are going to be a stretch or a no. This is a slim case. It is sized for normal frames and it does not pretend otherwise, but check your widest pair before you commit.The honest downsides, and they are all the same tradeoff. This is a soft case, not a hard shell. It will protect your lenses from keys, coins and scratches in a pocket, and it will do nothing at all if you sit on it or if something heavy lands on it in a bag. If your glasses are expensive and you are rough with your bag, keep the rigid case. This is protection against abrasion, not against crushing, and buying it expecting otherwise is how you end up with broken frames and a one star review.Second point: getting glasses in and out is a two hand operation and slightly slower than flipping open a clamshell. Not a real problem, but if you take your glasses on and off constantly through the day you will notice it.Third: it is light colored leather in a pocket. I would expect visible wear, darkening and scuffing over a year, especially in this shade. That may be patina or it may be damage depending on your taste.Who this is for: someone who wants a case they will actually carry every day and whose main threat is scratches, not impacts. Who it is not for: anyone with oversized frames, or anyone who needs real crush protection.It does exactly what a slim case should do and it is honest about being slim. Four stars, with the missing star being the crush protection you give up, which is inherent to the design rather than a defect.

I really like the look of this glasses case at first glance because it feels soft and almost velvety inside, and the light pink lining makes it easy to see dark frames resting against it instead of losing them in a dark cavern. The snap closure feels secure and the little interior strap is a clever idea to keep a smaller pair of glasses from shifting around once they are tucked in. The exterior feels reasonably sturdy and the whole thing is slim enough that it does not bulk up a bag. In the photo I added, you can see how my red tinted glasses sit inside the case with the arms sticking out the sides, which gives a good idea of how much room you actually get to work with.Where this case really stumbles is with anything larger than thin, low profile glasses, which is a bit ironic since the marketing suggests it can handle most eyewear. My larger sunglasses simply do not fit in a useful way and when the arms are left sticking out, I feel like I am begging for them to get bent or scratched because they are not protected at all. The arms press against the edges of the case in a way that makes me nervous to toss it in a backpack, and it kind of looks like the glasses are trying to make a jailbreak. For very slim glasses or lightweight readers this case works fine and looks stylish, but for bulkier sunglasses it ends up being more decorative than practical, so I will probably reserve it only for my thinnest pairs and keep my chunky favorites in something safer.

Returned this because it was very stiff and did not work well with my glasses.

I love it so much that I��m getting another one. I just wish that they came faster. It absolutely works for the multiple glasses I have.

Quality and convenience. Glasses fit into the case well and the case fits nicely into my pocket. No longer have to leave the glasses hanging around my neck or on my shirt. Reasonably priced too.

Really like this case for my magnetic clip on sunglasses. Noy sure if I would use for my prescription glasses themselves or for regular full sun glasses. I suppose it wold be OK if only putting frame portion with lenes inside and folding temples oveoutside.
